Loving life

Tessa is getting very interested in (and is often entertained by) the world around her. Today, Robbie propped her up on the futon and danced for her for about 10 minutes. She was quite entertained, as you would also have been had you seen the kind of dance moves Robbie was testing out on her.

Tessa's aunt and uncle from Denver came to visit her last week and, together with her dad, they have already managed to convince her to cheer for the Broncos. Go Tebow!

When on vacation in the mountains, everyone likes to catch up on some summer reading and Tessa is no exception. She also enjoys her Dad's funny faces.

Tessa and Grandpa Ed in North Carolina

We decided to take a trip down to the mountains in North Carolina to Megan's family's cabin to visit with Tessa's grandparents, aunts, and uncle. Since we brought our dog Aly along, we decided driving was the only viable option. For some reason, it didn't strike us as totally crazy to take an infant and a dog on a fifteen hour car trip from Boston to North Carolina. (We did discuss the trip with Tessa's pediatrician, who approved it.) Fortunately, Tessa is a champion. She slept in her carseat for 3-4 hour stretches and then woke up to request a diaper change and meal. It took us a little longer with the extended stops, but we made it down in one day.

Tessa had a fantastic time visiting with everyone. She was the center of attention and had plenty of quality playtime with the Becks. As you can tell from this photo, she had a blast!
