"Out facing"

Now that Tessa has good head and neck support, she can walk "out facing" in the moby wrap and the baby Bjorn. She loves checking out the neighborhood, and she goes on several walks each day with Aly. When it's sunny outside, she can be seen sporting one of her sun hats, as featured below.

Nail Trim

It was time for a nail trim, and, at first, Tessa thought it would be lots of fun. She changed her mind and pouted when she realized what was going on. But some funny faces brought her back around. In the end, she was a happy baby with a nice manicure courtesy of her daddy.

Smiles

Tessa is a very happy baby (most of the time). She loves playing with her mom and dad and she really loves meeting all the family and friends who have come to visit. Recently, she has decided that she loves to be entertained. You can dance for her, sing to her, make funny faces, or just make weird noises. In all of these pictures, she is watching someone (off camera) and you can tell how entertained she is.

Go Red Sox?!?!

This weekend, Tessa had a visit from two very special New Yorkers. In honor of the occasion, she donned some Yankees gear ("MVP in training"). Tessa had a blast jumping up and down on her Daddy's lap during her photo shoot.

Tessa's Christening

Tessa was baptized last Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Boston. Her godfather Scott and her maternal grandparents were in town for the event. Tessa slept through most of the service (which was a wonderful blessing in itself), but she did wake up when we were taking pictures after the baptism in time to check out the amazing stained glass windows in the church. (As an aside, Trinity Church has a rare light easement over the neighboring property, which is one reason the John Hancock tower was designed with all glass windows. It actually increases the amount of light being directed at the church.)

Tummy Time

Because babies now sleep on their backs, they spend supervised play time on their tummies. Tessa enjoys her tummy time, since it gives her a different perspective on the world. But she also enjoys rolling over -- in the first photo, you can see her tucking her arm into position for a flip!
